Mark traveled extensively throughout China, Japan, Nepal, and S.E. Asia in the early eighties and during his many visits, he observed master practitioners of acupuncture, tai qi, qigong, and herbal medicine. Mark attended the NW Institute of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in Seattle for his master’s degree in Acupuncture. He is national board certified through NCCAOM and is licensed to practice in the state of Washington.
What makes Mark's practice unique is his connection with the flows of nature. Having spent extended periods of time in nature, often alone, he has learned to hear the body and the rhythms echoed in nature.
